Tereza Cervenová

Tereza Cervenová

Tereza Cervenová’s work is characterized by the juxtaposition of delicate imagery and soft light with political and personal references. Her photographs of landscapes have a painterly, other-worldly dimension which is often contrasted with the symbolism of her chosen subjects. The selected images portray quiet, poetic snippets of Venice, representing well-known sites such as the Peggy Guggenheim Collection and the Palazzo Grassi in an abstract language. The artworks simultaneously retain the identity of the locations, while leaving the viewers with a pinch of mystery.
